PRIORLEASE / U.S. + CANADA BUYERS
Shop trucks by capability, not just appearance.
A truck that looks right may not have the payload, axle ratio or towing equipment you need. Compare current pickup listings and verify the exact vehicle's specifications, history and condition.

How do you check payload and towing suitability?
Ask for the VIN-specific equipment details and the vehicle's certification and payload labels. Cab, bed, drivetrain, engine, options and modifications can change useful capacity. Do not use a model-line maximum towing claim as the rating for a particular truck.
- Describe the trailer, loaded cargo and passenger weight to the seller.
- Verify hitch equipment, brake-controller provision and manufacturer limits.
- Inspect tires, cooling components and maintenance records relevant to heavy use.
What can previous use tell you?
Lease history does not reveal whether a truck hauled heavy loads, worked commercially or spent time off-road. Inspect the bed, frame, underbody and hitch area, and obtain an independent assessment. Ask about modifications and any title-brand history.
Canadian buyers and modified trucks
Before agreeing to import a U.S.-located truck, check the specific vehicle with the relevant Canadian authorities. Modifications can affect eligibility. Availability for purchase is not a guarantee that a truck can be imported or registered in your province.
